PUERTO MALDONADO 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS

DAY 1

  • Arrival to the city of Puerto Maldonado ‘’Peruvian capital of biodiversity’’, reception and transfer to the city
  • Visit to the market
  • Depending on the time we can take lunch in the city or in the shelter
  • Transportation to the port to take the boat that will take us to the shelter, after about 1 hour of navigation through the river Madre de Dios
  • Reception and welcome toast
  • Getting set in our bungalows, depending on the reservation
  • Day trip to Monkey Island where we can appreciate a variety of monkeys
  • Dinner

DAY 2

  • Breakfast
  • Day trip to Lake Sandoval, starting with 1 hour and a half walk through the virgin jungle, observing a wide variety of flora (orchids, platanillos) and fauna (giant otters, alligators, wild hens, many fresh water fishes). You can take a bath in the lake with no danger
  • Box lunch
  • Return to the shelter
  • Dinner
  • Night activities (optional)

DAY 3

  • Typical breakfast
  • Day trip to the Taricaya Project, down river for about 1 hour, where we can observe a wide variety of animals (turtles, collared peccary, tigrillo, macaws, goats)
  • Jungle walk to see medicinal plants and more animals and a walk through a suspension bridge 100 meters long and 60 meters tall.
  • Return to the shelter
  • Dinner
  • Night activities (optional)

DAY 4

  • Very early in the morning we will board the boat and navigate up river to see a group of parrots. Along the way we will see the sunrise and stay with the group of more than 100 green parrots for about 1 hour and a half.
  • Breakfast
  • Return to the city of Puerto Maldonado
  • Airplane tickets confirmation
  • Visit to a serpentarium
  • Transportation to the airport
