ITINERARY
we will pick you up from the hotel around 08:40 in our touristic bus bound to the town of maras, famous for their colonial constructions and narrow streets. after continuing our way for 9 km we will arrive at the archaeological site of moray, home of agricultural experiments in the time of incas, where each of the “andenes” has a different temperature according to studies.
after visiting moray, we will continue on to the salt mines of maras, located in the hillside of qaqawiñay in an area of 50 square meters, where they filled holes in the ground with salt water. the water emanates from a water spring located on top of the site. our guide will explain more about this, and you can purchase crafts made out of salt. afterwards we will return to the city of cusco around 15:00.
